At Petite Paw Grooming, everything we do is guided by a deep respect for your dogs’ well-being and your trust in us. We’re more than just a grooming salon — over time we’ve become a holistic, luxury care provider dedicated to offering a safer, calmer, and more compassionate grooming experience. 

Starting soon, our prices will be increasing a bit more than normal. This decision wasn’t made lightly; I’ve been wrestling with this decision for over a month now and it’s been so hard to write this out. But I’d love to share with you why this change is happening and how it directly supports the care your pet receives.

🐾 What Makes Our Grooming Salon Different

•    Fear-Free, Cage-Free, Stress-Free: Your dog deserves to feel safe and relaxed. We never use cages – opting for gates between rooms to keep dogs separated, never rush services, and never force dogs through fearful or potentially unsafe situations. This unrushed, more deliberate and mindful approach ensures your dog leaves not only looking great — but feeling great too.
•    Natural, Safe Products & Equipment: Every shampoo, conditioner, and treatment we use is carefully selected for safety and quality. We prioritize holistic, non-toxic products that support skin and coat health while avoiding common allergens and irritants. We are committed to using only the safest, most effective cleaning products and top-of-the-line grooming equipment to ensure your pet receives the highest standard of care. While these premium products and tools come at a higher cost, they reflect our dedication to safety, quality, and your pet’s overall well-being.
•    1-on-1 Attention & Tailored Care: We offer 1-on-1 appointments tailored specifically to your pet. Even our standard appointments are thoughtfully scheduled and tailored to minimize stress and create a calm, comfortable experience for every pet. They’re never shuffled through assembly-line style grooming. Instead, your dog receives individualized, unrushed care where we do our best to learn your dog’s individual personality, quirks, likes and dislikes in a quiet, peaceful setting to provide the best care possible. 
•   Over 14 Years of Expertise: With over 14 years in the field and 9+ certifications, with even more in the works, I’ve invested in deep, ongoing education to provide the best, most informed care possible. You're not just paying for a service — you're investing in skilled hands and a compassionate heart that truly learns and knows your dog with each appointment. Beyond that, I have handpicked my assistant groomer, Hannah Williams, because of her intense compassion for animals and her attention to detail when it comes to your pets’ care while in her hands. She has background knowledge working with vets — at the Mitzvah Fund, other groomers — as a bather at both Petco and PetSmart, and even human medicine as well — when she worked as an EMT. She has a drive to learn more, and I look forward to teaching her the ins and outs of grooming with compassion, knowledge, and care at the forefront. 
•    Quality Over Quantity: Unlike many salons that focus on volume to produce as much income as possible, I choose to focus on compassionate, holistic, and quality care. That means fewer dogs per day, more time with each one, and no compromises when it comes to comfort or safety. I refuse to turn my salon into an assembly-line just to turn a profit.

💡 Why We’re Adjusting Our Prices

While my current pricing has allowed me to continue doing what I love on a small scale, it doesn’t allow for growth or long-term sustainability, which is my goal as this business is my livelihood and my future. While my business is currently sustaining itself operationally, it is not providing the personal sustainability I need outside of work. This imbalance is limiting my ability to care for myself in the ways necessary to maintain long-term success and continue in this physically demanding career. In order to care for my body, expand our services, eventually move into a permanent business property, and qualify for a small business loan, I need to demonstrate healthy, scalable income. These price changes help us take that step — without compromising on our values or your dog’s care.
While I understand this price increase may seem like a lot to some, please understand that even with these adjustments, our pricing remains competitive when compared to other similar salons, both here in Vermont and throughout the United States — especially for the level of individual attention, expertise, and ethical care we offer. This is a long-term investment in your pet’s health and happiness, and in the future of our service to this community.

✨ What Exactly is Changing 

•    Standardized Weight Range: All pricing now applies to all dogs up to 35 lbs. This adjustment streamlines checkout and eliminates the need to track individual weight fluctuations. This will only change in the future if we secure a property and are able to take all size dogs.
•    Hourly Pricing Model: We have removed base prices. All grooming sessions are now billed to the nearest half hour. You are still only billed for the time we are actively working on your dog, not for any necessary breaks, pauses, or interruptions.
•    Expanded 1-on-1 Availability: 1-on-1 appointments can now be scheduled on any open business day, pending availability. Sundays are no longer reserved exclusively for 1-on-1 services.
•    Sunday Nail Trim Special: Nail trims on Sundays will be a flat fee of $10, regardless of whether one or two team members are needed. All nail trims are by appointment only – no walk-ins, and all appointments are subject to late-cancelation or no-show fees.  
•    New Discount Options Coming Soon: We’ll be introducing new ways to save. Full details will be announced later once details are ironed out and will be added to the “Savings” page of our website.
