Other Qualifications:
I've been grooming professionally since 2012 and learned originally from a groomer here in Vermont who had been grooming for 15 years prior. Even before that I was helping my mom groom her Pomeranians since 2006, she was a for quality breeder of Pomeranians while I was growing up, so I have extensive knowledge of the breed. I am also constantly talking with other professional groomers all over the world and constantly learning new techniques. I began doing grooming competitions in early 2025 and ended up winning 6 awards with 4 entries in my first competition and won 4 more in my second one. Grooming competitions challenge groomers to do their best as your work is judged by top professionals in the industry. I am also a member of International Professional Groomers, Inc where I'm required to continue my education to keep up with all the new and exciting things about grooming and the industry. As a member I am also required to keep to their Code of Ethics, which I love, and you can read them below.
Current Goals:
I'm currently working toward getting my International Master Groomer Certification through International Professional Groomers Inc. I'm hoping to start teaching other groomers in 2026 as well. My ultimate goal would be to expand my business to have a bigger salon and hopefully offer holistic luxury grooming, skin & hair therapy, aqua therapy, oxygen therapy, acupuncture, nutritional knowledge, a holistic suite style boarding facility, and more! I hope to have a business where I'll be able to help my clients in unique and new ways not currently seen in Vermont, while also being able to pay my employees a fair livable wage.
Petite Paw Grooming:
I founded Petite Paw Grooming originally in 2016 but had to close in 2018. I've been lucky enough to re-open in 2023! My goal with Petite Paw Grooming is to offer a holistic and luxury grooming experience to your pups with high end natural products and the most up-to-date knowledge in the grooming industry. I want your pups to be comfortable and beautiful when they leave and hopefully happy to come back each time. Their comfort and safety are always my top priorities.

A Bit About Me
I was born in Oregon and moved to West Danville in 1999. I grew up right here in the Danville area on Joes' Pond. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2015. I had to close my business in 2018 because of this. BUT then I found out in 2021 I was misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I learned I actually had crippling stage 4 Endometriosis! I was able to have surgery with two specialists in March of 2022. After that I was also diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, and Hyper-mobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome - all of which went undiagnosed for my entire young adult years and childhood. In June of 2025 I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, which has triggered POTS and MCAS symptoms, and although I struggle daily with the chronic pain from this disease I am determined to continue grooming and building my business to provide a successful future for myself.
I had a beautiful rescued American Cocker Spaniel named Luna who I've had since I began my grooming journey in 2012, who passed away January 17th, 2026, from inoperable cancer. She was my inspiration for opening my own salon and she was my heart and soul.
I also have a handsome rescued orange tabby cat named Solar who I rescued from the streets the same year I got Luna.
Luna had many health issues including a skin follicle disorder, many allergies, had chronic kidney disease and in the end inoperable cancer of the bladder and spleen - so I understand how each dog has their own needs and she is the reason I have put so much time and effort into learning about skin and hair and why grooming with the proper products and skills is so important for every dog.

Luna
Luna is a rescue from a New Jersey Cocker Spaniel rescue who got her from a high kill shelter down south. I was fortunate enough to find her on PetFinder.com. She was 3 months old when I got her in 2012 and I fell in love instantly. I'll never forget the way she hugged into my neck when I first held her tiny body in my arms. She slept on my chest the whole way home. Since then, she has done agility and come to work with me almost every day up until around 2017 when she decided she much preferred to stay home with Solar.
Luna unfortunately passed away on January 17th, 2026, due to inoperable cancer. Thankfully she passed away peacefully, only after a vet visit confirmed that one of her cancerous masses on her spleen was bleeding internally which had caused it to grow rapidly causing her to not want to eat and threatening to break inside her. I knew the kindest thing for her would be to let her cross the rainbow bridge peacefully, so that the cancer would not cause a painful passing. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. She has been my best friend for nearly 14 years, by my side through every hard moment, and making me smile when I wanted to cry. She was truly a piece of my soul in physical form. I don't know what I will do without her, but I know she will be waiting for me on the other side of that rainbow bridge.
Solar
Solar was a stray and hung outside of a friends house for a while before I stopped by one day with Luna. Luna always loved cats but we were not sure what he would do with her. Once they met I knew I needed to take him home with us. He rubbed up against her and she barked at him and followed him around and he didn't mind any of it. He even pawed at her and followed her. Once I brought him home they cuddled together the first night and became best friends. He is 14 y/o (approximately) and spends most his time bathing in sunlight and purring away beside me on the couch. 🥰
Now that they are older they cuddle less but they still play and chase each other around the house. But, on the rare occasion I catch them cuddling I always snap a cute picture!
