Big News!
I'm currently in the process of trying to purchase my own property for Petite Paw Grooming to grow into! I'm hoping to secure a property near Montpelier/Plainfield. Getting a new property would be perfect to help my business continue to grow and help me succeed in bringing higher quality care to my clientele! And I know that it will be an added distance for some of you, but I do hope you will still stick with me as I would love to keep each and every one of you as my clients. I will be offering a grandfathered in price for 2 years to any of you that would now have to drive more than 30 minutes to get to me once I move to the new location. (Only available to current clients as of Aug 2024)
With this change I will be able to hire other groomers who I can help train to my standards and we will be able to take on all size dogs since we will finally have the space to do so!
Once the place is up and running I will also be offering some sliding-scale grooming days for those going through hard times and those who are on social security/disability. I also will have the space to offer hands-on classes; these will be "how to" classes, like properly brushing your dog, nail trims, and other at-home maintenance type subjects and knowledge. The classes will include information on products and equipment that are best for your dogs specific needs.
I also plan to get my new salon fully certified with International Professional Groomers Inc, so that way you will always know that every employee is certified to take care of your pets in the safest and healthiest way each time they are in our care.

This was set up to help with the upfront out of pocket legal fees and other fees associated with purchasing a building, but it also has my plans for the business in full detail for you to see. I have already applied for the loan and now I'm waiting to hear if I've been officially approved or not. I won't stop fighting to get the perfect property as I know it is the best thing for myself and my business at this time. As of right now I do not know when this will happen, and my current salon in West Danville will stay open, as is, until I get a property and finish any renovations on it. It will be a while before the move officially happens, so please don't worry about your current appointments!😊

We offer gentle, stress free grooming appointments on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and on Sundays we offer one-on-one, cage free appointments for clients wanting/needing that extra care and attention. Master Groomer Certification News!
I have received my first certification from International Professional Groomers Inc!
This first course was about safety, proper handling, and overall grooming knowledge and results in me being a fully certified Professional Groomer through International Professional Groomers Inc.
I've passed my written exam for my Advanced Professional Groomer Certification as well as the Toy Breed live test where I groomed a 4lb Yorkshire Terrier. I'll be submitting my final test grooming a Double Coat, Pomeranian and once that is graded I'll know if I have my Advanced Certification! 😊🐾

I am currently working to receive my International Master Groomer Certification! With this certification I will be recognized as a master groomer around the world. 🐩 And I look forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge along the way!
I'm currently learning so many new things including things like the science behind the best shampoos and conditioners for each coat type, the best lengths and why its important not to trim the hair too short on many breeds, even the best and safest ways to work with the dogs that allow them to be most comfortable and allow them to be relaxed and safe while being groomed. I have been grooming for more than 12 years and there is always new and amazing things to learn in this industry and above all else I want to always be offering the best of the best to my customers!
