I'm looking to hire a part-time grooming assistant! 🤩
Start date - June 1st, 2024 (possibly sooner)
Days - Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Hours - Part-time 12-18 hours a week
(possibility for more if experienced or once experience is acquired over time)
Pay - $15-$18 an hour
(Possibly more depending on experience)
You must -
- Have some experience with dogs 🐕 (Does not need to be professional experience)
- Love dogs 🥰🐶
- Be comfortable with cleaning all kinds of messes 💩🫧🧽
- Be comfortable and confident handling dogs up to 35-40lbs 🐩💪
- Be willing to learn and grow 🙋📝
- Be patient and care for the safety of both the dogs and yourself 🙏✅️🐶
- Be comfortable talking and dealing with customers, as you help check them in and out 📥🤝💵💳
- Be 18 years or older 👍🏻🙋
- Have reliable transportation 🚙
Job Description -
Bather/Grooming Assistant
You will be required to:
Bathe and dry dogs safely and up to high standards.
Brush and Comb dogs efficiently and safely.
Be willing to learn basic hygiene grooming (Shaving pads, cleaning ears, clip and dremel nails).
Assist with cleaning the salon periodically.
Check clients in and out.
This is a great opportunity to learn how to do full grooms with scissor and clipper work, learning skills to become a full groomer in the future and have an amazing fulfilling career in an industry that will always be needed!

The owner and canine stylist is Kit Turner, a certified professional groomer and stylist, certified with International Professional Groomers, Inc. and studies the science behind dog breeds and their unique hair and skin needs! We offer gentle, stress free and cage free grooming because we want you and your dog to want to come back. Our shop is quiet and clean, and we focus on your dogs specific needs.

Master Groomer Certification News!
I have received my first certification from International Professional Groomers Inc!
I got back my results for my written exam and passed with flying colors. 🎉
This first course was about safety, proper handling, and overall grooming knowledge and results in me being a fully certified Professional Groomer through International Professional Groomers Inc.
I have gotten back my scores for the practical part of the exam as well, that is the part where I submitted a detailed video of myself grooming a Shih-Tzu from start to finish for the master groomers at IPG Inc. to grade and give notes on.

I am currently working to receive my International Master Groomer Certification! With this certification I will be recognized as a master groomer around the world. 🐩 And I look forward to sharing my experiences and knowledge along the way!
I'm currently learning so many new things including things like the science behind the best shampoo's and conditioners for each coat type, the best lengths and why its important not to trim the hair too short on many breeds, even the best and safest ways to work with the dogs that allow them to be most comfortable and allow them to be relaxed and safe while being groomed. I have been grooming for more than 12 years and there is always new and amazing things to learn in this industry and above all else I want to always be offering the best of the best to my customers!
